How To Make Caramelised Onions In 15 minutes
Now when I say 15 minutes this does mean cooking on an induction stove top. This is the first time I've ever had one in 43 years and with a family of six, our meals are done pretty much within 15 minutes or under 30 minutes MAX!
If you have a gas or electric stove top simply cook until you get the same consistency as my pictures below.
5-6 red or brown onions
Drizzle of Olive oil
pinch of salt
A splash of balsamic red wine vinegar
1 cube of grated palm sugar (or any natural sweetner of your choice)
Peel and finely slice onions (or do what I do and place in a food processor which slices them under 1 minute!) add olive oil to pan and saute until soft, add sugar, allow to onions to sweat under lid or add some more olive oil followed by a splash of balsamic vinegar and that's it!
