Classic Mushroom Sauce
This would be one of my most favorite sauces. We served this with a scotch fillets, blue cheese and asparagus. Delicious. Classic Mushroom Sauce
Serve with your favorite steak, or have it over your steam vegetables. It's super versatile. Keep an eye out next week as I share more of my mushroom recipes proudly brought to you by my friends at Australian Mushrooms.
1 medium brown onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of organic butter
1 garlic clove, crushed
200g Swiss brown mushrooms, thinly sliced
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon of Natural Greek Yoghurt
Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion. Cook and stir for 5 minutes or until softened. Add garlic and mushrooms. Cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
Add wine. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in yoghurt. Boil and gently simmer for 10 minutes or until reduced by half. Season with salt and pepper. Serve and enjoy!
