How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?
Hello! I'm coach Dani, age 23 from Canada. When I started my journey it was meant to be a way to shed some pounds to relieve some of the pain from injuries I accumulated summer of July 2015. Through my whole life I suffered from eating disorders, diet pills, everything possible to be "skinny" but this journey was different, I didn't care about being skinny, I wanted to learn how to treat my body with respect not destroy it. I started by seeing a dietician weekly to teach me how to eat and take care of my body. Soon I became obsessed with nutrition, passionate about sharing my education with others. Then I became a coach to help others through their own personal journeys to help learn to love themselves from the inside out.
What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?
I used to eat whole hearty meals but a lot of my young adult life was spent avoiding eating and leaning on programs like Jenny Craig and herbal magic to lose weight. All of that ruined my body. Now I focus on nutrient rich food.
Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?
I don't play any sports haha I follow mostly hockey and football though!
What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?
I love helping people and creating an environment for others to thrive! It makes me smile so big to see others improving in every aspect of their lives.
What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?
A lot of pain from injuries mentioned above. Doctor told me weight loss would be the best bet.
What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?
I would love to expand my business in coaching and help as many people as I can!
What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?
Focus on the aspects of your life you want to improve inside and outside nutrition/fitness. Read personal development and follow anything that sparks a fire in your soul!
