You go girl! Transformation Tuesday with ElaineHow old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

I am 26 years old and I started my lifestyle change 3 years ago weighing at 5,2.5 145lbs . I started off by joining a gym and then weight training became a part of my lifestyle routine bringing my weight down to 110lbs. Last year I decided to set another goal to compete in a NPC bikini competition. I competed & stepped on stage for the first time in October & it taught me so much about discipline, strength and confidence. I plan on competing in more upcoming shows & have high hopes in inspiring others that anything is possible.

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

When I was a kid I used to eat a lot of junk and processed foods. As I grew older and started to work, I would eat out of microwavable frozen meals. I realized how unhealthy they were and how much nutrition is important to my health. Now I have done more research on all different types of macronutrients & how much I have to fuel my body. I dedicate 1 day to cook all my meals, weigh the appropriate portion and place them in tupperwares for the week. It takes a long time but it is definitely worth it to achieve great results.

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

The only sport I like to do is weight training. I enjoy watching football and bodybuilding competitions.

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

My interests are spending time with my family, traveling, training in the gym & food adventures. My absolute passion is so inspire others & help them reach their goals. To help people believe in themselves & go after their dreams. That's the biggest reward and achievement.

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

One morning I looked in the mirror and realized how unconfident I was. How unhappy I was with the way I looked and felt. It started off as a normal membership at the gym and it became something so much more. It's become such a huge part of my life that it's a part of me now.

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

Over the next year I hope to improve more in nutrition and my physique. I also hope to build more clients and specialize in online training & meal planning to help direct people to the right healthy lifestyle road.

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

Never ever give up. And don't ever compare yourself to others. I know sometimes it is natural and hard not to. But you have to dig deep & believe in yourself. Focus on your goal & drive with your heart. Be patient, results will take time as long as you stay strong and disciplined.
