Transformation Tuesday with Hailey Larson!

Today we have Hailey Larson joining us on Transformation Tuesday! This beautiful young lady has courageously opened up and shared her amazing shift to becoming a healthier and happier person. How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

21 I went into rehab on November 3rd of last year. I had been drinking daily for 3 years prior. That's when I took the first step in living a healthy lifestyle. I began working out when I left rehab at the beginning of December. I changed my diet from alcohol & fast food to a low carb, low sugar diet. I eat for energy, not out of boredom. I listen to my body & drink a lot of water. I stay away from chips, candy, soda & all the big no-no's. It was hard at first, but my body thanks me.

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

I have gone back and forth from binging and restricting my entire life, I suffered from an eating disorder since I was 7 or 8. I have it under control at this point, but I'm always cautious of the habits coming back. I used to love candy, chips, HOT CHEETOS & pizza (I still love pizza)

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

I like to play baseball, basketball, and martial arts

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

I'm passionate about making other people laugh. It makes me smile when I make others smile

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

I hit a super low & attempted suicide twice in a week, so I asked for help & from then on made it my mission to be kind to my body after years of damage I had caused

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

In the next year I would like to maintain a healthy body & life style. I would like to achieve a year of sobriety & continue getting my life back

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

The main things that have helped me is cutting out alcohol, and cutting down on sugar & bread. Also forgiving myself for eating sugars or carbs when I have a craving. Dot weigh yourself, you'll get caught up in a number. Just listen to your body & do what it tells you. Also drink a lot of water. You will notice a difference in how you feel almost immediately
