Preparing for a detox for my Bloom getaway

Check out this amazing green smoothie I just posted on Instagram!!! I am totally inspired by so many pages that go Fully Raw or vegans in general. Hats off to you all as I try and incorporate a 80% fully raw diet in our family's life. 

In the meantime here is some amazing information Amber from Bloom sent me on ways to prepare for our detox weekend coming up;
Here’s your shopping list

You don’t have to buy everything but this is an ideal amount for one person to go through over 10 days. Just get what you can and what you feel you will use. Shopping at local or independent fruit and veg shop is the best value for money.

- Any GREEN vegetable you see that tickles your fancy. - Any vegetable you want or like
- 2 Bunches of Broccoli

1⁄2 a Cauliflower
- Bunch of celery
- 10 Banana’s
- 3 – 4 Apples
- 3 – 4 Mango’s or Oranges - Fresh or Frozen Berries

- 3 – 4 Kiwi Fruits
- 1kg Carrots
- 1kg Onions
- A bunch of Garlic
- A few hunks of Ginger - 2 Red Capsicums

- A bag of lemons
- Pumpkin or sweet potato
- 5 – 10 cans of Mixed Beans 

- sprouted or fresh beans 
- 3 – 4 Avocados
- Red Cabbage
- Spinach

- Bag of Tomato’s
- Olive Oil
- Any fresh or dried herbs you like
- 2 Dozen Organic Free Range Eggs 
Get juicing!

Juices – are like multivitamins and minerals but fresh and made by you. You bought the vegetables and you washed them, chose which ones you felt like drinking and then you juiced them – this is your body talking to you. There is something to be said for this as a health benefit of whatever you eat, it’s such a lovely thing to do for yourself and the nutritional benefits are well researched and proven to assist in healing the digestive tract and other dis-ease in the body.
Detox Juice:
- 1⁄2 a beetroot
- 2 sticks of celery - An apple
- 2 carrots
- Hunk of ginger

1⁄2 a lemon

Liver Cleansing Juice:
- Lemon
- Ginger
- Kale

- Spinach - Broccoli - Apple

Green Smoothie

Juice:
- 2 sticks of celery 
1⁄2 a cucumber
-
1⁄2 a lemon
And blend with:
- An apple, leave the skin on and chop into smaller pieces, remove the core and seeds. - Handful of spinach

- A cube of ginger - 1⁄2 an avocado
